Thursday, July 21, 2014

Join the Chippewa County Historical Society for a guided tour on the St. Mary's River. Learn about the history of Sault Ste. Marie with History Fest organizers and area history buffs, while also enjoying a wide selection of desserts.

One of the highlights of the cruise will be a historical play that will take place right onboard! The play commemorates the invasion and destruction of the Hudson Bay Trading Post and freighter canoe lock in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, as well as the destruction of John Johnson's fur trading post and residence in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan during the later days of the War of 1812.
